An extraordinary edition to enhance the beauty of one of the world's most important monuments and to celebrate, with some of the unmissable events of the
Italian season, the protagonists of great international music, at a time when culture, art and entertainment are the formidable tools for the social and
economic revival after Covid. And it is precisely Riccardo Muti, in fact, after his exciting performance in the court theatre of the Reggia di Caserta last winter (recorded and aired on Rai Cultura), who wanted to pay a further tribute to his homeland and to this monument, a World Heritage Site, with a concert, conducted by ‘his’ Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini, that promises to be the most important event of the season.
Daniel Oren, Ludovico Einaudi, Jodi Bernacer, Vittorio Grigolo, Anna Netrebko are the other stars of an exceptional programme that ‘Un'Estate da Re. La grande musica alla Reggia di Caserta’ proposes for its sixth edition that will run from 6 July to 4 August, with a breathtaking stage in the Piazza Carlo di Borbone and the traditional theatre in the Aperia of the English Garden.

Financed by the Regione Campania, with the artistic direction entrusted to maestro Antonio Marzullo, ‘Un Estate da Re’ sees once again this year an intense collaboration between the San Carlo Theatre of Naples and the Verdi Theatre of Salerno. Organised and promoted by Scabec, Campania's society for culture and cultural heritage, the review - born from a project conceived and supported by President Vincenzo De Luca in 2016 to promote both the Reggia monument and our musical realities - is now a fixed appointment of the summer of opera and symphonic music in Italy, which will also see this year a concert in homage to Enrico Caruso, ‘the most beautiful voice in the world’ for the 100th anniversary of his death.
The event is organised in collaboration with the management of the Reggia di Caserta, the MIC and the Municipality of Caserta.

  • The shuttle service operates from 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. departing from the Cannocchiale della Reggia di Caserta**.
  • LAST SHUTTLE DEPARTURE at 8.30 p.m..
  • The entrance to the English Garden opens at 7.20 p.m.
  • It is not permitted to enter after the show has started (9.00 p.m.)
