As part of the regional project “Prevention and Counteraction of Bullying and Cyberbullying” (Regional Law no. 11/2017), the Campania Region, through Scabec, presents a series of nine performative awareness meetings addressed to families and the educational network of students from lower and upper secondary schools across Campania.
The initiative, hosted in five cultural sites across the five provinces (National Archaeological Museum of Naples, Royal Palace of Caserta, Provincial Art Gallery of Salerno, Museum of Sannio in Benevento, and the Monumental Complex of the Bourbon Prison in Avellino), is grounded in the belief that state museums, as places of art, knowledge, and shared heritage, can play an active role in the civic and cultural development of younger generations, contributing to the creation of more aware and responsible communities.
The programme opens on Saturday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m., at the Auditorium of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. Institutional greetings by Francesco Sirano, Director General of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, will be followed by speeches from Ninni Cutaia, Regional Councillor for Culture of the Campania Region, and Andrea Morniroli, Regional Councillor for Social Policies and Education, reaffirming the regional administration’s commitment to strengthening prevention and counteraction policies against bullying and cyberbullying, as well as supporting the educational, social, and psychological development of minors.
This will be followed by the performative meeting “Antibodies of Knowledge on Bullying and Cyberbullying”, curated by the social cooperative L’Isola che c’è, which combines scientific information and artistic performance through multidisciplinary languages and a live stage format. Speakers, actors, musicians, artists, and digital professionals will engage in dialogue with the audience on bullying and cyberbullying, alternating talks with performative moments. The aim is to create a shared space for listening, observation, and reflection, transforming the event into a participatory, immersive, and experiential experience.
Each event will conclude with a guided tour of the hosting museum’s collections or exhibitions, marking an active collaboration with the participating cultural institutions: places where beauty becomes an educational tool and can teach, through direct experience, kindness, respect, and a sense of community.
Working with beauty and cultural heritage also means promoting respect, listening, and healthy relationships.
