In Naples, within the Palatine Chapel, the Chapel of the Souls in Purgatory, and the Armory of Castel Nuovo, the solo exhibition "Mimmo Jodice. Metaphysical Naples" is on display — a tribute to one of the undisputed masters of contemporary photography, who, without ever leaving Naples, his hometown, has been and continues to be one of its most poetic and profound interpreters.

The exhibition, open from April 13 to September 1, 2025, is organized into chapters inspired by archetypes of the metaphysical imagination (“Distances,” “Arches,” “Columns,” “Statues,” “Monuments,” “Shadows,” “Apparitions,” “Voids”) and features over fifty photographic portraits of Naples rich in references to Metaphysics, placed in dialogue with paintings by Giorgio de Chirico. The result is a portrait of Mimmo Jodice as a spiritual artist, masterful in using places as if they were elements of unpredictable still lifes.

The Metaphysical Naples exhibition project is funded by the Campania Region and promoted by the Municipality of Naples, with organization and communications by the publishing house Electa, in collaboration with Studio Mimmo Jodice and the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation.

The exhibition can be visited with the Campania>artecard pass.
